When we found our 2012 Heartland Landmark Key Largo used. I mailed the owner a Certified check for $5000. (Unit listed for $120,000. And we got it for less than half) to hold the unit for us to look at. If we bought it that went towards the payment of the RV. If we did not like it, He gave us back the check.
Now we did fax paperwork between each of us. On this agreement and both had signed it. And when the person bought our used RV, We did the same kind of deal. And when he got a chance to look over the camper. If he did not like it, I would have given him back his $$.
Now these days lots of people will tell you anything to make a deal. But after they have any cash for you. Its take it or leave it. So be careful and make sure its in writing.
