What is this? ( a plumbing question )
Found this under our bathroom sink. Any idea what it is, I don't recognize this device, some kind if a vent ? I see an arrow designating flow direction. Thanks for any input.

Make sure it is secured to the wall or the cabinet so that it does not flop around while you are underway. Can lead to leaks.
