I highly recommend that you invest in a bottle jack and a jack stand or two (cheap at HF). I will never bet my life on just a jack, much less a standard vehicle jack. If you have to get under your trailer to make a repair it is unlikely the ground will be smooth, flat and stable. Yep, one more thing to carry but I will not work under a trailer without one. :C
Read what I had to say. The one tire is sitting on the trailer aid and the other one is hanging. That is how I change tires lube calipers and so on. The truck jack would be used to raise and lower the hanging axle if a spring needed to be replaced. I stand by my statement that a bottle jack is not need and using a TrailerAid Plus is much safer.
