To give you an idea on the pin weight. I just weighed my 5er today. It had 11104 lbs dry (yellow sticker) weight and a gvwr of 13888 (per plate on side of trailer). Dry brochure pin weight was 1880. Weights loaded at the scales were a pin weight of 2620 lbs and a trailer weight of 12380 lbs. This is within my 3500 SRW specs, not your 2500 specs. The 5er you are talking about is actually dually territory.
