Okay, any ideas or suggestions on when is the best time of the year to purchase a new fiver? RV shows? Fall, when the new models are out? Winter, when sales may be down? Or maybe it doesn't really...

My suggestion would be to know what you want including brand, model, important options, etc. and shop around for several months. Prices can vary hugely based on options and it is difficult to find 2 trailers of the same brand/model with the same options at different dealers. One can get lost easily in the myriad of dealers/brands/models/options.
