The sales people I've talked to in the RV side pretty much say they will take the customer on the lot before they will spend time with somebody emailing on the internet. They tend to take you much more serious if you are face to face or on the phone. They get a lot of emails that never pan out, yet the can spend a lot of time dealing with some anonymous person. While I agree that manufacturers should respond to contacts if they are going to offer it, the reality is that the RV industry hasn't adopted that way of life.
As for finding a Jayco, it's hard. I wanted to see the Jayco toy haulers when we were shopping in 2005, but the dealers just didn't stock them as much as other Jayco units.
