I'll check again for drain valve. It must be on the side because directy underneath it is not.
As far as pumping water through lines......water heater is off so I don't think those lines would get sanitized. But I did run some water through cold lines for sanitization. I'm at home and didn't want to fill gray tank with the chlorinated water and then have it sit in it until I can get to a dump station which could be several weeks.
