As far as pumping water through lines......water heater is off so I don't think those lines would get sanitized. But I did run some water through cold lines for sanitization. I'm at home and didn't want to fill gray tank with the chlorinated water and then have it sit in it until I can get to a dump station which could be several weeks.

Open the hot faucet (and cold) everywhere there are faucets.
What's the dif whether there's chlorinated water in the grey tank or not?
So it sits - no big deal.....or, since you're at home - run the water out onto the ground or into your sewer, or?
