Where to clean up?

For those of you traveling south, where do you clean off the salt and mess that you have to drive through? Never had this big of a rig to clean before and wondering what everyone does? What do you think is the best place to get it done? I know campgrounds are out for washing rigs.

Thanks, Bill

  • I have never been told I can't use the "waterless" RV wash I get at Camping World. Very little water and no mess at all. It works.

And it has already been said that quite a few Camp Grounds will allow washing, and some of them even have RV washes on site. :)
  • When we get to Yuma, Az, we call one of the mobile RV wash companies. They come to the park. For $100 we get the trailer washed & hand waxed & the truck washed.
  • Its been awhile but there used to be a truck wash at the Flying J on south bound I75 last exit I believe before entering Florida. Mind this was a couple of years ago.
  • You can wash at many CGs, just inquire at their Office. Some require a small fee, approx 10 bucks for the extra water. Or if you have deep pockets you can hire a Mobile Detailer to wash it.

Ditto. I start looking the morning of our last day of driving
  • I look for a car wash large enough for me to go through. There are not many but I have been able to find a few. My wife drives it forward and back as I wash it.
