Yeah, we know it's a crapshoot in terms of brands (basically, unless you're in the really high end range, they're all pieces of **** LOL)... that's why we're not entirely tied to brands (even though we've been happy with our current Keystone).
Since we don't plan to live in it anytime soon (we're only in mid 30s), we're not as concerned about a smaller living space... bigger garage is definitely the concern. I just don't want an open garage because I don't want to look at the mess in the garage when I'm getting out of bed in the morning.
And yes, we've noticed there are more models trickling onto the market with 12'6" garages and manufacturers are finally catching on that large garage doesn't need to = huge length/luxury features. The overall length is a non-negotiable for us, we're already limited in some campgrounds in our current camper, and it's going to get rougher the bigger we go. Plus, our HOA has a max outbuilding size of 1200 sq ft, and they've already given us tentative approval for a future build of a 30x40 building (won't be built for probably 5+ years).
It's seeming like the Keystone Impact 351 is still our best option at this point. Hopefully by the time we're ready to go in a year or two, there will be more information about them.
