who's in the Sacramento area?

Hello,

We just moved up from OC and just got our 2015 toy hauler, quad and toys. Grew up going out to Glamis, but that's like an 11 hour haul now. My wife and I are new to the area with our 2 boys 5 and 7.

So far it looks like Sand Mountain in Fallon Nv is the closest dunes, but the boys are on a Razor and Pw80 so we are looking for places to go trail ride as well for a weekend.

  • Check the Stony Ford area and the Black Butte area. Just West of Willows and Corning.
  • I am in the Sac area and my 10 year old son and I usually ride in the Sierra. Most dirt roads in Eldoado are closed right now for winter, but can still ride places like Gold Note, Pipi, etc. Mammoth is great, but its a little haul just for the weekend. We avoid PC unless it is spring time and want to go out for a quick ride. Forget summer riding there in the valley heat.
  • We usually head east for weekend trips.
I use this site http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/ to find places to try.
