Our progression PUP, TT and now a 5th wheel. Our reason for the 5th wheel was that most bunk models we looked at were over 34' in a TT. We didn't want to be that long when towing. Instead we found a 34' 5th wheel and 4' of the 34' is over the truck bed making us 30' when towing. We already owned the F350 Long Bed. My husband still manages to put junk in the bed of our truck. Kids bikes go inside the 5th wheel and ours on the hitch of the trailer. Previous owner had a reinforced bumper placed on the trailer.
The 5th wheel seems much more spacious to us. The one thing I've noticed is that trees are much more menacing with the 5th wheel height. We can always take the hitch out of the truck if we want to.
