We progressed from renting PUP's and TT's for about five years to buying our first TT, a 26' Sportsmen named 'The Box' in 2001. Kid's grew up and out so we started empty nesting in 2011.
Upgraded the TV to our current F150 EB in order to purchase a 35' Outback TT named "The Roll'n Condo". Loved it, entertained 6, dined 4 and slept 2. It was the perfect floor plan for us. The Roll'n Condo was stolen in June of 2012 so we had to start over.
At that time we thought we wanted to purchase a used MH, either class C or A. We looked at many units but didn't find the floor plan we could agree on or a used unit in our price range that didn't appear to be a money pit.
Meanwhile, not ruling out another TT, we were looking at new TT's and FW's but not finding the right floor plan. We were being too picky and in no hurry. We walked into our current FW and said 'this is it!' Love the kitchen counter space and shower. This one is named "Countertop". The bedroom is horrible as far as getting around the bed and lack of storage but the rest of it outweighed this.
We have tons of basement storage but due to the fact that I'm so close to payload limit on my F150 I have to be careful how much weight I put in there.
We lost the truck bed space going to a FW so we no longer take our bikes and BBQ grill with us. I need to work on that!
