I have been towing my '05 32' Montana with my '04 Dodge with a 9k max gvw for the last 11 years. I have been across scales with every thing and persons on board for a two week or more trip and have never exceeded any manuf. limits of my truck. So in my case your theory does not fly. JME.

I am scratching my head on this statement, that 2005 Montana is very much the same size as our 2005 Copper Canyon. Either you are extremely pin light, or only carry one change of cloths and use nothing but paper plates, plastic table ware and always travel with tanks empty.
Our Copper canyon is a rear Kitchen with typically a lighter pin, but we travel with FW tank full. I also have a bed box with tools, about 1.5 weeks worth of cloths for both summer and winter.
My TV scales consistently at 10,000# +/-, that is the only number I exceed. Still have 500# to spare on rear axle, and close to 1,200# capacity on the tires.
The TV is a loaded Quad cab, only option I don't see on the build sheet is Alarm and leather.
With all due respect Sir, My statement stands. I am done here. Happy trails.
