Why No Goosenecks?
It seems like all RV travel trailers are fivers, and only construction related flatbeds or horse trailers are goosenecks. Is that pretty much true? And why is that? It seems like a gooseneck hitch ...

That is one of the main reasons more 5er hitches are used than GN's when towing 5th wheels, and again, the frame structure is different than that of a horse trailer..
I've alway's stated that the easiest way to find out if it is or isn't recommended to tow a particular 5er with a GN is to just call the manufacturer to find out what their stance is on this question.
