There may only be a RAWR difference of 500 lbs but there is a GVWR difference of 1400 lbs. Some of that difference may be on paper but neither of us are Ram engineers so neither of us is qualified to say how much is due to regulations and how much is due to structure.
All 2500 RAM's have max GVWR of 10,000. 3500 CC SB trucks have 11,700 GVWR and LB have 12,300 GVWR. Only some 2500 owners seem to think they are the same.
RAM took the two platforms in different directions with completely different spring systems and two greatly different rear air systems. 3500 owners seem to understand this and 2500 owners who say they are still the same truck tend to be denier's. Chris
