Will Ram 2500 be enough?

Hi, everybody. Don't have a 5er yet, but will soon. My question is this: I will more than likely be buying ( new or used) an Arctic Fox 27-5. I keep hearing of people pulling that basic size with 3/4 tons. I will be fulltiming it in my rv, so will be moving it around probably once a month or so. Is a 3/4 ton truck enough, I know the Arctic Fox'es are heavy, but the ride sounds better on a 3/4 ton rather than a 1 ton. Would prefer to buy 3/4 ton, but will buy 1 ton if I absolutely have to. Appreciate any and all ideas. Thank you in advance.

Don't make assumptions based upon other's "reports" as those are effectively meaningless to your wants and needs. Go test drive some 350(0) and 250(0) and make your own decision.
  • New 250/2500?
    Used 250/2500.........how old?

    Arctic Fox 27-5
    GVWR 13,400#

    NEW 250/2500----------OK
Used 250/2500.........could be pushing limits/over limits

BUY 350/3500 and then NO Issues.
  • Yes but a 3500 is so close in price that it is well worth it to get the extra capacity. You wont believe how fast the weight adds up!

Hard to give an answer w/o knowing the specs of the rig you think you might get.

    Weights (all) needed.
