wind speeds

What would be maximum winds to pull 35 foot rig with 2500 Chev duramx? Winds look to be 20 to 30 on Monday.
  • 5th wheels are good (maybe the best?) RV in wind. Weight centered over the rear axle of the truck, TV has a nice low center or gravity, etc. No RV is great in wind but I'd rather take my chances with a 5th and good TV than a class A or TT/truck. 25-30 MPH wouldn't make me change my plans. Much more and maybe I'd change plans.
  • Depends on your fear level, lol. I've towed in some pretty strong crosswinds (30-40mph) that the truck and 5th wheel took in stride.
  • Depends on which way the wind is hitting you. A 30 mph tailwind will do wonders for your mileage. Me, I'd wait for calmer winds.
