I thought it must have been a fluke hit from rock (I have no idea how that could happen but I had nothing else to contribute the break to). However everything else is still there just the glass is broke out.
We ordered the unit with dual pane windows, they too are frameless. I'm hoping we don't have this issue. I wonder if it has something to do with the latch on the escape windows causing glass stress.
