Mine are frameless. I cant say for sure that it was some kind of fault with trailer or some crazy bad luck with a rock. The lock mechanism is still there as is the rest of the window assembly. We were traveling on a newly chipped Interstate. It was single lane traffic, so there was not anyone coming head on that threw a rock. I have no idea, I just know that I am buying a new window.
