Winter Temperatures in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama

We spent our first winter in Alabama (2012/2013) when we moved from St. Paul, MN and it was nice. Spent the entire time in Montgomery with a couple of trips to FL and TX for a week or so. Temps were mild by Minnesotan standards but it rains a lot (this year?). Being farther from the coast living expenses are lower and there really is no hurricane threat, only tornados. Used very little propane and electric is free during the winter where we are staying.

Summer is a whole other story.
