Wintering sub zero in northeast.

Thinking of selling house. When this happens considering living in a 5th wheel until building a new smaller home. Depending on time of year home sells, may be spending winter in northeast in a 5th wheel camper. Guess my questions are how hard do you think this would be? Frezzeing ,black tanks ect. I don't own a 5th wheel yet ,but figured if home sells could pick one up fast live in it ,and take 2 years to build foundation and home. Open to any camper suggestions what brand are good for wintering? Should a skirt be put around the bottom? Have only camped three seasons never winter.
  • I am sure it could be done but it will be hard and costly keeping everything warm. I have spent short time in freezing temps in a 5th wheel and MH. (5-8 days) you will need big lp tank, heat tape to keep drain open and an a way to get fresh water, Just to name a few. It is not something I would want to do if I could avoid it.
