Winterize LG residential ice maker with air ?
I have a Columbus 340rk with a LG residential refrig. How do you winterize the ice maker with air ? I only use anti-freeze in the traps and tanks.

At the other end of the water feed line there should be a water shut off valve. Shut that off and disconnect the line from the shut off valve there. Then get a helper to hold down the water and ice valve and pump out water and ice. Then if the helper holds the lever down you can blow the water through the system with air. Then my added thought is forget the ice maker exists and make real cubes the old fashion way with trays.
In Toronto you may recall Legionaires disease became a problem from bacteria in ice machines in hotels.
Personally I think it just happened to be a feature for household fridges more suitable to houses than RVS
My wife found Ice trays that make little polls of ice 1/2 inch round x 2 inches long which slip through the neck of water or pop bottles. Kind of neat if you're going out in the heat.
