The best method for removing humidity is location dependent. Here in Illinois for example, Damp Rid is an excellent solution. I used a big bucket in our trailer every winter and never had any musty odors come springtime. Unfortunately, the humidity of the Pacific Northwest winter would overwhelm the biggest bucket. Hence the need for a dehumidifier.
What’s a mystery to me is how they deal with the gloomy days. I need my sunshine.
