My WW has (2) 50 gal fresh tanks. They are ABS and joined by 1 1/2 (?) hard pipe. I have a leak caused by the 2 tanks being joined by the hard pipe that I fixed with Plasti-mend. The flexing between the 2 tanks killed that fix and it's leaking again. I would like to join both tanks with some kind of flexible tubing (?) that is fresh water safe. Any suggestions on what to use (tubing, hardware, etc) and possibly where to find the parts?

I'd go to Home Depot and get some of the clear tubing with the reinforcing mesh in it. I think they make it up to 1.5". When running it from one tank to another, make a loop or coil in it to absorb the RV frame flexing and tanks moving around. Fasten the loop to the bottom of the RV with some plumbers tape. Check the loop for water when winterizing.Bill

I've looked before but the inside diameter of the flexible hose isn't even close to the outside diameter of the hard pipe. That would be my preferred method, but would also consider plumbing in new fittings to the fresh tanks and connecting them with a smaller hose. I don't know how I would add fittings to the fresh tank that would be reliable (wouldn't want to accidentally dump 100 gal of water while boon docking in the desert)

This might be worth a call to the So Cal RV Doctor, a lot of WW owners rave about them. I can't comment from personal experience, just reading the posts about them over the years.

Would Pex tubing not work? Not sure about reducers, etc as it typically is not that large.

I just ordered a piece of this with a 2" ID. The current hard pipe is 1.92" OD. I'm hoping that's close enough for a good seal. I also ordered a pair of hose clamps. Hopefully I'll get the parts by the weekend!

You might look at spa (hot tub) hose. Very thick and strong, about 1 1/2" in diameter.

either that or just find a barbed connector that matches the tubing and adapt the piping to that size, could be threaded too, might take a couple of fittings to get from one to another but it will work, the larger the tube the easier it will be to fill/release trapped air.

What about the tubing that is used between the tank and fill spout on the outside of the trailer. Local RV dealer should have some, sells by the foot. It's cheap, it's flexible, not sure if it's 1 1/2, but it's close and worth checking out.

Pex should work but I would like to try and find a way to connect the larger pipe first. This way when I fill the fresh tank I won't have to wait for the 2 tanks to level out. If I did go with Pex, any suggestions on what fittings to use so it would be sturdy / reliable
