I went with the low profile OIL FILLED Electric heaters. 1500WATTS is 1500WATTS whether it is a large size or small size. We always usually have only ONE mode selected and the TEMP setting is around 3... These are left ON all the time when being used...

I like the safety aspect of the OIL FILLED Heaters as there is no FLAMES or RED HOT HEATED CORES that can start fires when curtains get blowed into them or animals or kids can touch... They are almost very silent in operation and only do a CLICK every now and then. No fans etc...
There is also no burnt smell involved... Just clean heat coming from the unit.
These probably take a bit longer to heat up an area but safety pays off for me... Maybe in the bath room one of the other types would work well where you always had control of when it was on...
Sometimes we do use one of those O-2-COOL 10-inch AC/DC/D cells FANS (WALMART - AMAZON) sitting behind the oil filled heater if we want to move around the heat better...

Works great for use and gives us alot of peace of mind leaving ON full time when it is cold weather.
We also use a couple of these THERMO CUBES that you plug into a 120VAC receptacle and they will come on depending on inside temp. This is great for using in the storage areas controlling a 100 WATT Incandescant bulb. I have the model that turns on at 35 Degrees and then turn off at 45 degrees. These are great to have around...
