2014 Federal Income Tax guidance

Any help out there would be appreciated. I am currently traveling full time with my family for a year now. We sold our house LAST year and bought a fifth wheel and truck to start our adventure. We are living in it full time. I am still working full time and this will be the first year for tax time to fill out without owning a home. If anyone would mind steering me to the appropriate forms or even giving me some advice I would greatly appreciate your time. Thank you.

  • Turbo Tax Deluxe.
If you can change a light bulb you can do your own taxes easily with your particular situation.

H&R Block is basically someone with about 2 weeks of training who sits at a computer and uses their version of Turbo Tax.
  • Declare nothing and just do the EZ form. ... oh, but you've got to show capital gains THIS year on the sale of your hosue .... yuck... Been there, done that in the past. Go to H&R Block, save yourself a nightmare. That what we did.
  • A brief visit with a CPA or other tax accountant will benefit you by getting CORRECT info. The fee would be very nominal.
  • Turbo tax or any of the tax preporation software packages will guide you thru it all.
  • I just did mine on the on-line version of turbo-tax. When you start the program it asks you a set of questions and then tells you what forms you need to fill out. Up to that point it's free. It cost me 34 dollars to file through them and it took me about 20 minutes to fill out the forms.
