Actually no, I dont want a diesel. In fact if anything I am more convinced that the pulling power of the 5.7 is up to just about anything you can throw at it.
The 5.7 has plenty of reserve power on short steep hills like the road to Jerome AZ (one of the steepest in the country) and on those long steep grades of the Rockies.
