Actually 111 miles a day is not too bad, if you are in a rush or on a schedule. Only about 2 hours... Leave a campground at 10am... drive and check into the next at 12:30 for lunch and sightsee after your nap, from 3pm - 8pm...eat, drink and be merry... then do it again the next day.
