When I went to get my FL plates the DMV accepted a well know forwarding address for full timers AND at the same time asked me if I wanted to also register to vote!!
But my bank back home will NOT accept this address.
Did you try usinga "contact" person
instead?
I tried doing it on line and it referred me to the 800 number which is where it was denied after they entered the address.
Do you mean calling someone at my local bank? Have you had that work?
If your financial institution is not allowing your mail forwarding address as part of the Patriot Act CIP (Customer Identification Program) requirements, then you should be able to use a next of kin or a contact person's address instead. (See page 480, bottom right column of CFR-2010.)
It's probably best that you actually talk to someone at the financial institution. You may have to ask for a Compliance Officer or someone in the Compliance Department -- folks that deal with the volumes of banking rules.
