Lots of Rver's don't have them and have never had problems. But it's like insurance, you may benefit from it one day or you may never need it. Your call and your dollars! I myself have one because I know how campgrounds have issues with power pedestals and high,low voltage and spikes. Just a reassurance for me to maybe save my TV's,microwave, and a/c's.
