We had the huge house too. Awesome yard, hot tub etc etc. We sold it all 4 years ago to go full time. A little different, because we retired, BUT, we had realized we were "living for the house". Tons of money and energy went into maintaining something that,in the end, we didn't really care about. We have been so happy on the road! We actually drove by the house yesterday, and neither of us felt a twinge of envy. I say you have nothing to lose. If you HATE living in a 5 th wheel, buy a smaller house, and you'll still be rid of the huge monster!
