Not wild at all IMHO. My partner and I made the decision this past July. We listed our house on 8/11 and are under contract waiting for the appraisal. Closing is set for 9/27. We are selling everything and purchasing a 5ver to live in so we can save more for retirement which we hope to do in 10 years. Frankly, we realized that we have been too concerned with getting 'things'. We both have very stressful jobs as do many people. We are looking forward to this new adventure and we understand we may decide it's not for us. At that time, we will rent an apartment. Do what you want to do!
