We might be in a minority, but we are also retired military, so health care is not an issue (and now we are both on Medicare too) ...
We travel a lot every year (We owned the RV and truck, no payments) and if we subtract the house payment because full-time has no mortgage, we travel on less than $2000 a month including food, fuel, insurance, camp fees, and having fun ... So, I can never quite figure out why it takes over $3000 or some say $4000 a month to Full-time.
Our last long road trip was just over five months, Florida to Oregon and Washington and back. We averaged around $1800 per month for the five months and we didn't scrimp. Course, we stay in NP, SP, COE, and Military CG most of the time. We eat out sometimes, but not fancy, just regular M&P places ... We also have the NP pass. We boon-dock a few nights here and there, but not often.
