To the op... it may be time to pick a different domicile state. SD, ND and many of the less populated states are experiencing the biggest sticker shock on this.

Poster mentioning young people just paying the fine and risking it... they will do just that. What is humorous about this entire ACA thing is "can anyone tell me how a person who requires government assistance to buy health insurance is ever going to pay a 6-12k deductible?" And in case you were not aware a "deductible" is monies due and if not paid will get sent to collections.
ACA is not "healthcare" it is government mandating private citizens entering into a contract.
