Privacy is not an issue because your mail is not opened and scanned unless you direct SBI to do so. You see, incoming envelops are scanned and put into your online mailbox. That way you can see who sent the mail item. If there is an item you want to see quickly, that's when you have them open it for scanning. It's really a great optional service.
