Privacy is not an issue because your mail is not opened and scanned unless you direct SBI to do so. You see, incoming envelops are scanned and put into your online mailbox. That way you can see who sent the mail item. If there is an item you want to see quickly, that's when you have them open it. It's really a great optional service.
Doesn't sound secure to me so I'll deal with a different type of service when it's time.
For the benefit of others who may read this far, St Brendan's Isle has the typical mail forwarding services. SBI is just as secure any of the other service providers. Privacy is no different either unless you want the optional mail scanning feature. When we where full-time RVing, I only had SBI scan several letters because I didn't want to wait to see them.
