Anyone have a road-loving housecat?

I've contemplated getting a cat but know they aren't fond of traveling. And how do you know if the cat you get is one that can cope with the traveling? I don't move that often but don't like the idea of drugging it. Also not crazy about not letting it explore outside.

Any problems with RV parks?

I know when we moved from CA to VA many years back using a UHAUL truck followed by one of our road vehicles one of our cats didn't make the first 50 mile pull out at a rest area.

It darted out when we opened the truck door and we looked and looked for it for the next three to four hours and finally had to go off and leave it...

    Sad day for the kids...

A dog will listen to you somewhat but a cat has a mind of its own I reckon... All our cat knew was he didn't like riding in the truck I guess. Probably was watching us the whole time we looking for him...

Our fault for not keeping him in his carry case I guess...
