I live “full time” in my RV. However, I don’t much enjoy traveling in it even though it got a lot better this last year after making some major upgrades to the suspension and installing a new engine. It’s still a 33’ behemoth to drive. What I do and will continue to do is winter for 4-5 months in AZ because I like it there and there are many local activities available such as hiking, backpacking, mineral exploration, and quail hunting. When I head north in late April I’ll be staying at places for a month at a time using my RV as a base camp and my 60mpg 250cc dualsport motorcycle and 25mpg Dodge Caravan to explore the area. I currently stay in RV parks but as soon as I can upgrade my electrical system to solar I expect to be mostly boondocking. Now I realize that you folks that are constantly on the move and can afford to pay $35 a night or more at RV parks might not consider what I do full-timing, but frankly it works for me so I don’t give a dam_.
