Sorry for what you are going thru. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.
But why on earth would you pick Fidelity? They were the center of the whole financial debacle in the real estate crash. And have been fined and under a big microscope ever since. Like the others involved are also.
This is why they are all of sudden playing by the rules.
""Finra slapped more than $1 million in penalties on the retail brokerage arm of Fidelity Investments on Friday for failing to protect clients, most of ..."Fidelity hit with $1 million sanction for failing to detect fraud ...
Here's a snipit of what everyone else using Fidelity is going thru similar to your situation.
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/fidelity.html 300 complaints.
""I have been with Fidelity Investments for over 25 years and have both my ... an email from Fidelity that all my accounts had been closed due to suspicion of fraud.""
A local bank would have been a better choice. We all know that we use addresses to places we don't live. Try that with the big boys and it just spells trouble.
BEFORE I sold my house I got a local po box. Changed just my 'mailing' address on my account to that po box at my local bank. Deposited the proceeds after closing into the local bank. Still using that bank 6 years later and I am 2,500 miles away from it with no branches in the area. And flipping a few houses and using that same bank for the proceed deposits. :C
