That was fast.
I work in a large business park area. Lots of one-story buildings etc., with streets connecting one park to another. Not too many people driving around, especially after work gets out.
And during those after work times, how many police cars and security vehicles are patrolling, and what are the local ordinances concerning parking on the streets? If your employer says it's ok on their private lot, you have a possible approach.
But that's what I worry about: Being bothered, harassed, or chased off. Don't feel like it would be an improvement on quality of life compared to our apartment now. At the same time, living in an RV would mean not worrying about rent for the foreseeable future, and having more in the bank for retirement.
You and your wife, both working, are you going to shower daily? Even with navy showers, figure 2 gallons each, 4 gal a day, 5 days= 20 gallons of grey water, dishes, hand washing, etc, another 4 gal a day, 5 days= 20 gallons more.
Toilet usage, is pretty easy, 2-3 gallons a day so 15 or so there.
Are you getting a large enough unit to carry that? And still be incognito?
I know plenty of people have already thought about this, especially in the Bay Area, but I want to quiz people on this forum who have or are already doing it.
There's just so much space in the Bay Area where I see just casual overnight parking working. That is, however, just my impression, and that can be deceiving. Thoughts?
There are so many homeless in that region, and I dont pretend to know the area well, It is however a problem we even see publicized on the east coast, but I would tend to believe property owners, businesses included would tend to take a "NIMBY" approach. (Not In My Back Yard)
And that usually means even the benign get booted because the powers that be have to treat everyone equally.
