Best bunkhouse for young couple and newborn

I have a class A Fleetwood storm 32BH that has bunks, that also convert to an additional table. the best part is that you can only use the top bunk but convert the lower area just for the dogs so they have their own place. The additional drop down Queen bed makes it great to travel with another couple and their kids. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4-6 kids.
Not a 5th wheel, but great for traveling in.

Traditional rear-bunkhouses have fairly limited seating in the living area which you also said you don't want.

There was a Wildcat (maybe) that had a front bunkhouse. I don't recall what the rear was like.

Cougar 339bhs, bunkhouse is a double slide room with couches and large TV. Kind of like a living room. I should have mine soon :-)

The Montana 342PHT has a nice bunk house. We bought it even though there are only two of us. I removed the bunks and we use it for storage since we are full time and my wife is a pack rat. We have had very few problems with it that weren't self inflicted.

We're similar situation (sort of young-ish couple with a 9 mo old) - but we're opting to go with a rear-living 5er instead of a bunkhouse. Couple of reasons:
1. More living room / kitchen space.
2. The little one is probably going to be sleeping in a pack & play for quite a while yet - no need for a full bunkhouse for just him.

So we're focusing on the 30-34 ft range, and so far we really like the rear-living Hitchhiker floor plans.

We have a heartland Silverado 37qb, it is
40 ft long with a seperate half bath in bunk area in back. Also has a couch that has a full size air mattress. Out door kitchen and separate entance to back bath. 4 bunks in back and 4 slides total.

I think Grand Design might have what you're looking for! Excellent RV too!

Open Range has some good plans. Also look outside the normal manufacturers... companies like Premier Elite and Monte Carlo they cater to folks that work on the road with families.

Good luck. That is one reason I didn't like the BH models. They just have no living area, but with kids I guess you're expected to be outside a lot.
