When creating this site the purpose was to collect information from others on where they go in their travels. So I figured why should we spend money on fuel when we could see where others had already been. It's like not reinventing the wheel when others had already steered their wheels down that road. It has links to travel journals of people sharing their fulltime travel stories. Who better to learn from, than people who are NOW traveling and sharing their stories.
Over the years we also complied a Resource Help Section with links to sites to help you find that special campsite.
We use those links to find where were are going to camp in our own fulltiming travels. I like to say "We are a big rig looking for a tent experience"
Great collection! LOTS OF STUFF to look at. Got ya book marked. Thanks! - was_butnotnowExplorerMay I offer my site.

pops - MTPockets1ExplorerFT now 2 1/2 years: so far we just do it our way; sorta like being on vacation all the time with occasional stops of 4 - 5 months where it's warm. Florida for 9 years; trying Tucson next winter. Just do your thing whatever works for you. Lot's of factors - different for each; enjoy on your terms.
- littlemoExplorerDitto on all the blogs mentioned. Between this forum you're on and several of the FT blogs, you're good to go. I read them and dream that someday I'll be out there with them.

What are your favorite books, web sites for getting into full timing.
I think the forums are better also. THIS one in particular gave me the best resource for what to do and what not to do from their actual experience and from a vast array of styles of full timing.
some like resorts, CG's, State Parks, COE's, stay a night, week, month or months in one place etc. Everyone full times differently. IMHO A book doesn't address that.
I started out one way and after a year into it changed how and where I stayed and how long. And DO believe the seasoned full timer when they tell you NOT to leave any storage units behind. I didn't listen to that advice.:(
Not to mention any questions answered in 'real time'. Can't do that with a book! :B
Good luck on your new endeavor. - FlatBrokeExplorer IIFound a very informative web site you all may be interested in.
Wheeling it - FlatBrokeExplorer IIYeah, I think books are some what outdated. I have been book marking all your folks info. Lots to look at.
Wasn't much interested in FT until recently. Slowing down, hip just replaced for the third time, had to quit my part time job and my part time ATV service business, hate winter and I really dislike where we live. An idea just hit me the only way out is to get out and enjoy the rest of my life is travel and follow the seasons. - BarbaraOKExplorerThe blogs of fulltimers (there is usually a link in their signature lines) will give you the best information on all of the different ways to fulltime. I'll second the Escapees forum - probably more fulltimers on it than anywhere else, because that is what the company was founded on - to serve fulltimers.
Key is not to rely on just one source, but use many. The forums are great because you can get up to date information - books are always a year or more out of date.
Barb - missourijanExplorerThere are a lot of books but I think you will get more practical info from reading different blogs of actual fulltimers. Look at Gypsy Journal's website and daily blog. Nick Russell writes a bimonthly paper that can be received by email or snail mail, they also self publish many books. www.rv-dreams.com also a good source. Read all the rv forums like escapees.com or irv2.com. I didn't look to see if you have an rv, there are owners forums for almost every brand, like Montana, Jayco, Excel, Monaco, Drv, etc. You can get a lot of information by reading owners forums, and ask a lot of questions from those that are living the life.
