Big or small with toddler

For btdt parents of toddlers, would you say a bigger sized trailer is a must? I'm looking for a trailer with double bunks (or would it be quad? It's two bunk beds, one on either side) so my daughter would essentially have her own "room." I've found one that's more of like a caravan setup, but it has the bunks which I've never seen in a trailer that small. I really like it but am wondering if it will be "big" enough for my toddler and I. Once I go and see it, I'll determine whether I get a good feeling/idea about living that small, but what do you prefer based on your experience?

  • At the risk of seeming like a smarty pants, I am going to quote what a good friend said when we found our three kids would no longer comfortably fit in our passenger sedan..."Didn't you think they were going to grow?" Your daughter won't be a toddler for long. Even if she doesn't acquire siblings in the foreseeable future, you can be sure that she is going to want friends to come along with her. Plan ahead and get the rig that you are going to want for a few years to come.
  • We spend most of the year in a 34' motor home. Our "stick and brick" home is 3200 sq. ft. We find the room in our motor home is more than adequate for our needs. I can't remember one moment where I felt crowded or cramped.
