Buying RV in Bama but home base is South Dakota

Question

Will be buying a used RV in Alabama but my Home base is in S.Dakota. How should I register the RV in SD and not in Alabama? I have been fultiming for 10yrs but never had this situation before. Suggestions are appreciated.

are you buying from a retail establishment? if so they should be able to issue temp. tags and required paperwork to be sent to SD. if you are buying from an individual, good luck. get bill of sale and title and ask SD govt.

If you're using a mail service in SD, chances are they're used to taking care of your registrations, tags, etc.  Ask them.

Any of the mail forwarding services in SD can handle the paperwork for you.. I use My Dakota Address
