If you use a debit card at an establishment that a thief has set up a skimmer to get your information, your account can be emptied in a matter of hours and you will not be reimbursed by the bank. Especially if you refuse to return phone calls to verify purchases. It is always best to only use a debit card at locations you know and trust. Any other locations you need to use a credit card. American Express may hot be concerned about your purchases unless you find a fraudulent charge and contact them.
