You should definitely have an exit plan. Very few fulltimers remain traveling around in their RV until passing. Reasons for coming off the road after 5, 10, 15 years are varied & many.
It doesn't mean you need to go back to a full scale expensive home in the suburbs, there are many options for how & where & what type of abode you live in after fulltiming. While traveling around the country you can explore different areas and different options for future living arrangements. Personal preferences and personal finances can dictate one direction or the other, but you have lots of options. I wouldn't keep the current sticks & bricks, unless you're pretty sure fulltiming is only going to last a yr or two. Many folks find out renting their home is more trouble than its worth. Advance planning, realistic budgeting, adjusting your expectations, and being flexible are key.
