WOW! wish I had $5,000 per month. The amount people spend is all over the place. From what you say I see no problem with you living on $5,000 a month.
Have fun!
For many the bigger issue is what they spend each month before full timing. Do they spend all their money available each month? And if they do then they will likely spend all their available money each month full timing in an RV, boat, or whatever. One of the best cost containment items is eating out. It can be very expensive or conserve money by eating out twice a week and eat in the RV the rest of the time. A second huge issue is where you park it. Some RV parks are $700 or more a month, others as little as $350. Look at the monthly rates not the daily or weekly. Monthly is almost always considerably less expensive. Boondocking is almost free. But usually requires lots of generator usage or solar. You might decide if spending the money on solar is worth it depending on where you plan to mostly spend each evening. Many are full timing for far less than $5000/month excluding the costs of depreciation and payments on the RV. Most don't also own a stick and brick home that still has a mortgage.
