I do recognize that the biggest expenses will be the site fees and the gas cost. (I am ignoring the depreciation cost intentionally). And these are relatively well-known numbers, at least I believe that is the case.
Since we plan to stay at national parks and sometimes other camp sites for one or two weeks at a time (occasionally 3 weeks), I don't expect huge discounts here. I really do expect the worst, and average out to around $1500 per month. MH driving works out to be roughly 12k per year. Assuming I get 8mpg, that's $5700/year of Diesel, or $475 per month. I will also burn some gas on the Grand Cherokee, around $180 per month. So these three items add up to $2155 per month, leaving me with roughly $3k for other items. I definitely feel this is feasible...
