My thoughts for what they're worth:
1. I wish we had $5K a month LOL
2. As far as maintenance you have lots of maintenance on S & B house, yard, lawn mower, refrigerator, HWH, etc. So that should even out.
3. Groceries are a necessity whether in S&B or MH.
4. Utilities should be cheaper in MH. Like previous poster said. Get your 'Geezer' pass and stay in state and national parks for half price. Utilities don't get any cheaper than that. This eases your diesel/gas expenses a lot.
5. You have medical bills, insurance bills, genera PITA issues no matter where you live so this is no change.
As another poster said, I think you are going to have a really hard time getting a MH that big in to State and National Parks, COE and NF campgrounds. If you don't already have it you might want to consider something a little bit shorter so you don't miss out on all these great parks. Just think of some of these parks you want to visit and try to book a space or read about there space requirements.
But in answer to your questions. Yes $5K will be fine! Get out there and enjoy this beautiful land!
